I bought a used 2008 nightster it has a the screaming eagle race tuner installed. But I did not received the module. i need to change the program. Should I buy a new race tuner or buy the new dynojet programer( the one with auto tune). Both are about same price. The new dynojet reprograms ecm like the screaming eagle does and does not stay on the bike. Help me decide.
I would try to buy the tuner from the previous owner if possible...he has no use for it as it is forever married to your ecm. The SE tuner does not need to be attached to the bike unless you are recording. I would offer up to $200 for the SE if it is still available...if not, the trend seems to be the PowerVision tuner these days. Btw, the SE Pro has auto-tune capabilities as well.
Thinking fellows who own the SE tuner will buy a spare ecm to keep with the tuner. This way the tuner is still valuable and the ecm can easily be swapped into another bike when needed.
