I have been having this issue for some time. While I am riding the engine just dies. I noticed that if I turn the kill switch off then on it will not restart while I coast the bike. If I turn the ignition switch off then on it fires right back up and I can leave the clutch out and keep going. I already replaced the following.
Battery
Stator
Voltage regulator
Speed sensor
Clutch cable
Drive belt
Cleaned connectors
Could it be just the ignition switch going bad? I have all lights and everything else still on when the engine dies.

You haven't told us anything about what bike you have.
Do you have the service and diagnostics manuals? Why not?
My '95 did the exact same thing. Just gently rolled to a stop as if I had hit the kill switch. I had to turn the ignition off then on and it would start right up. I had a mechanic look over all the wiring and installed a new ignition switch and its been fine ever since. Try a new ignition switch, I got mine at the dealer with new keys for it.

Thanks. Looks like I will try the ignition switch first.
I changed the switch and cleaned and checked all connections. Bike was good for two days, but died on me once yesterday. I am at a loss here to figure this out. Is there a module or relay that could cause this?
I forgot to say that before I changed the ignition switch I had it shut off several times in a row. The bike shut off and when I fired it back up it ran till I left the clutch out. It did this to me three times and each time it took me six to ten restarts before the bike stayed running.
Something easy to check.
The bank angle sensor (A, Figure 70) is mounted on the
side of the battery tray.
1. Support the motorcycle in a vertical position.
2. Start the engine.
3. Set a magnet on top of the bank angle sensor.
4. The engine will stop if the sensor is operating correctly.
5. Reset the sensor by removing the magnet and turning the
ignition switch off.
