Simple question... I have and 09 Nightster. Battery went and need to get a new one. Any suggestions on Non-Harley Battery Battery? Half the people I asked told me to get a Harley Battery and the other half said there are plenty of other ones I can get for cheaper and just as good or even better...
It would be better since there is a couple auto parts stores next to my house and the Harley store is pretty far...
We have a "Battery King" store in town and they have the same battery as the HD battery, from the same manufacturer but without the black case and HD logo. Saved about $40.
I have them in three of my vintage Hondas. I just started my 1978 CB550 last night for the first time in a year. After sitting for literally a year, the battery had a full charge. I tried various conventional batteries over the years, AGMs and SLAs and I got sick of them. They're almost all crap crap crap.
When my Nightster battery dies I definitely plan to get a TruGel.
This is what I got. I used a 10% off coupon when I bought it. Same manufacturer as the oem battery. No issues with mine. It comes with a 24 month warranty.
