tobywan,
I have a similar story as yours. However, I do not know what's going on.
The battery on my 07 has been draining lately. the first time I couldn't start the bike and the dealer re-charged the battery. They didn't know why it drained. (I ride it every other day)
The next day when I went to start it the battery was totally drained again. the dealer couldn't figure out why so just put in a new battery. Two weeks later the battery has drained again (rode the bike every day). the dealer will pick up the bike again this weekend.
I'll keep my fingers crossed and hopefully the dealer will find the problem.
The bike has been going well (was definately the brain of the alarm - cost me ÂŁ250 to get it fixed - $500?) - alarm kept setting off the blinkers whicjh gave the nightlife a disco and drained the battery - been riding to work, however, we have had snow and ice in the middle of March (in central London!)- maybe the gods are trying to tell me to get on the train. Beautiful mornings but freezing cold - have some cold start lotion to rub on her and it seems to tickle her into life. Really can't bring myself to take her to the knackers yard. Even the dealers wont take her because of her ugly looks. May just take her out on weekends and have a mistress during the week. Thanks for all your advice. Am going to storage to dig out my manuals at the weekend - might even break the spine by opening a few pages.
Next job - I want to give her some plastic surgery - how much for a paintjob? - can I do it myself?
