thanks for all the feed back!
I decided to go ahead and fabricate 14'' apes at work. Turned out great I love them.
Sending them off for powder coat this week.
My next question is, whats the best way to go about re-wiring everything?
I notice Burly sells a 14'' ape hanger wiring kit, with supposedly everything you need?
I installed new handlebars on my brothers bike, only had to extend the wires for (turn signals, horn, etc..)

Hdsportster99 I fabricated a lot of parts on my bike. I recently ordered some 1" od steel tubing. We have electric conduit benders at work. I bent some bars but the radius is too big. I think I'm going to tack up a jig on our welding table and bend them with a torch. I heard you can fill it with sand and cap the ends. This keeps the pipe from collapsing when bending. I got the .120" wall thickness. How did you makes yours? Any tips on making your bars would be appreciated.
