I have add my vote for the Flyscreen. My wife and I both use them.

I like the looks of the flyscreen, just hard to believe it does much.

Default Dart flyscreen

Try the Dart (from England; check the web)--cleaner mounting system than the National Cycle. If you have a National Cycle Flyscreen & like it but not the chrome strip, remove it. Careful application of hairdryer heat to loosen the adhesive & solvent thereafter worked for me.

The Dart item, though, is really sweet.

It actually does. I really like mine.

98% takes the parachute away, which is the biggest benefit.
Under 60 an open face helmet is fine, over 60 a full face would be recommended.

+1 The airflow hits me below the chin and at the armpits. I always ride with a full face and the airflow is very smooth around the helmet.

I've been riding behind a wide variety of windshields and fairings since the 60s. The wind isn't easily fooled! It will always take the shortest route past anything between us and it. A small shield will provide small protection. However bigger is not always better, as poorly shaped shields can create their own problems. Probably the worst I have experienced is an RK style, while my Sporty qd shield, which is similar but smaller, is just great. This is one of the few aspects of riding where extensive experience has not been a great benefit!
