Have you ever lost a windshield?

I happened to see on truTV how a motorcyclist lost his windshield while speeding up to escape from police.
That made me think, there are times when I go pretty fast and sometimes I have my Memphis Shades attached.

Seriously?? Unless it isn't installed properly, I don't see how someone could lose their windshield just by going fast.

I have "lost" 2 windshields. One from a rock (fist sized) thrown up by a Semi, and the other from a Pheasant. Both windshields broke but stayed on the bike and most likely saved my life. I won't ride at highway speed anymore without a windshield.

I never lost one. But I did leave one at the side of the road once.

No, but I did leave one shoved up the *** of some asshat that made fun of guys that ride with shields.

I hear that comment every so often: pure BS. I use a Memphis Shades with quick detach, and never have had a problem. Just like everything else on a bike, check the hardware occasionally and you're good to go.
