There you go. It's in the finances. Nothing wrong with that. Any Harley is a great experience. If your wife doesn't ride, nothing will make her happy but you selling it. I'm fortunate enough to do what I want. Yes, I'm not married of hafta deal with those issues. I do know that alot of riders in this forum have wives that ride. Let her ride it. once she rides, she will be an addict.
unfortunatly she has no interest to be on bike, either as a rider or a passanger.
so our priorities our different.
now if she rode, then id keep that one for her and id get mine and life would be grand.
so, untill i get rid of her, ill just fix up the 883 to fit my needs.
dont get me wrong i love her(the 883)just had the itch.
im 5'4 140lbs so its not a lack of power, this scoot pulls me around pretty good, its just wanting more power and chrome.
If you are looking for power, the 883 to 1200 conversion is the way to go, not to trade in the bike.
If you want the chrome engine, well, thats your decision, but for that price, that is hard.
Try to sell out right first, then really consider before making any decisions with the dealership
It's all what you are happy with. The 883 is a great bike as I said. If you get a chance to ride a 1200, you will understand.
Actually the first HD I drove was a 1200C[8D]but at that time I had a Shadow VLX and had only been riding a couple months so didn't really get into it,I'll jump on it this summer when Scott & I ride but just going from the 600 to 883 is nice, and the 89' has a little extra juice to her so even funner.I have been wanting a Sporty since the Evo Sporty came out
My buds 1200
Like I said before. I loved my 883. It was a great bike. I also said in other posts the main reason I got the 1200 was the chrome. I love chrome! The other stuff was an added bonus. The 883 saved my life. I'll always have a fond spot for the 883.
Thanks, for all the input guys, im keepin the Peral White 883, smart thing for me to do at this point.
have theCycle Shack Pipes, nice and loud, now ill have to get the new ac/rejet, was thinkin Big Sucker, i know theres some of you guys out there with that one, decent? then later in the spring ill do the 1200 or 1250converstion.
Its good to be able to talk to people that understand, lol.
haha,I have Cycle Shacks going on to,need the jet kit and Ac and was looking into the big sucker so sounds like we may end up being set up the same[8D]
TAZ, good move I didn't want to weigh in to soon I feel you are making a very wise move I was at the stealer and an 06,883c with 3000 miles was going for 7600.00 bucks They don't call them the stealer for nothing.
