I noticed today that the front brake seems to be pretty noisy - screeching when nearly stopped. The pads seem to have a lot left so I don't think that's the problem. Could the noise be due to the water/dirt that was kicked up from the road? I haven't noticed this type of noise before. When do the brake pads need to be replaced? The bike has less than 3k miles.

When they are wore out[&:]jokeI think it depends on how fast you use them, like a car,I'm always replacing Dawns Jeep brakes, but she is always hitting them for no reasonI could be wrong though[8D] Probably dirt and crap from sitting?
The bike only sat for about 2 months. I think it might be from the dirt I picked up riding today. The front end is a mess after about 30 miles with the snow meltoff.
