Nice looking sportster, You can see you have some time and money in it. I bet you can get 7500.00 if you wait for the right buyer.

It just take the right person.

I see a custom paint job, but that's about it. Everything else is bolt-on, and that front wheel is sooo 1998. Not exactly low mileage, either.
Did anybody ever tell you that a green Harley is bad luck?
I'll be optimistic and say $4,500.
Do you have the factory tins and front wheel?
Good luck.

It's already been said but you have to wait for the right buyer if you want the most money. If you're not in a rush then just keep posting it on craigslist and eBay until it sells.

Custom bikes are just very subjective, maybe you'll find a guy that likes the general style you went with but he wants blue instead of green. Lots of people want stock (or nearly stock) bikes because it's like a blank canvas, why pay someone for work and parts that you're going to change anyways. Also, any labor you personally put into it is worth about $0.

On a personal note; I would never buy a customized vehicle as you never know the quality of the work done. I've seen numerous guys buy modified cars and they turn out to be nightmares with constant problems, especially when you start talking electrical.

Edit: other people have said it but the easiest way to get the most money would be if you had the original tins and wheels and return it as close to stock as possible. Then, sell off the other parts individually.

Guy wanted opinions and I gave mine......it doesn't make me an idiot. I guess I'm an idiot for buying my 1993 back in 1999 for 6800. Now that was idiotic. Bought my 1992 in 2012 for 2800.

Chrome don't get you home but my 115hp will. I'll cool my tongue and not stab back with juvenile behavior.

I'm just not a fan of insulting people's work. I made a juvenile comment so for that I apologize. But for that matter, calling someone's bike a turd could be thought of as juvenile. Don't you think? I'll be honest, the bike isn't at all my taste, but to each his own. I wouldn't give more than about 4000 for it. The OP might have better luck trading parts out for stock ones and selling it.

While I will preface this by stating this is not my style of bike, like another user stated I do watch Craigslist and I can state that a stock 03 is running anywhere between $3k-4500, the ones I see on CL for months are the customized ones, because just in your bikes case I would pretty much remove the pipes, the LED's and the front wheel and then try to find the original tins. It would cost me more to buy yours then a stock 03 so I would want yours a bit less then a stock one. Just my opinion..

Maybe green bikes being bad luck is just a bunch of nonsense, but I'm personally not going to get a green bike to test the theory and there's a lot of other people out there that would never ride a green bike for the same reason.
