just wondering how much you guys think this is worth. gonna be selling it and with the custom work thats done to it, its hard to put a price, so id like your guys opinions.
2003 sportster 1200 custom. 100th anniversary edition. 29,xxx miles.
have extra parts to go with it such as brand new front/rear tire, sissy bar, drag bars, oil filters.
Unfortunately custom work never pays when you sell YOUR project! This goes for hot rods as well as bikes,Im sure every one will tell you the same.If I was to put a price on it giving I watch Craigslist for bikes a lot and have friends who buy and flip them I would say some where around $5000 low end to $6000 high end.Just my opinion giving where Iam located with lots of bikes for sell.
^What he said.
If your looking to make your money back you'll be sitting on it a while.
KBB/NADA average is ~$5000 in stock form. So start there and factor in the parts/labor $ that went into it. By factoring that custom work money, I mean add it up and then take maybe 30% of that and add it to the $5000 start point. I'd start the price around $7500 and reduce the price every so often until someones interested.
I'd guess you might get $6500 out of it...not that I'm a koala-fied appraiser or anything.
Id give more for a stock 03 than yours...........and I wouldnt give 5K for a stock 03. But Im a tightwad Im selling my 08 for 5800, I would never pay that for it, just hoping someone just has to have it. And thats the kind of guy you need to find to buy yours.

Well the people who would buy his bike are the type of people that want a custom sporty, not people like you who go for more of a traditional stock form. So in this case that person will pay more for his custom bike that is harder to come by unlike a stock '03. Just gotta wait for that person who's got the same taste as you. I think your bike is pretty cool btw.
Your bike looks great, but not my cup of tea, and therein lies the rub. You need to find a buyer that would want to customize his bike the way you've done yours. 29,000 miles is not so much a disadvantage as it not being a rubber mount, IMO.
