If he gets 7 grand for it, I would consider it a lucky green Harley.
Personally, I like green. One of my trucks is green and I ordered it that way. I would buy a green Harley, but not that one. At least, not for more than, say, $2,800. There's too many other cheap, low mileage Sportsters available.
Again, good luck to the OP.
Turd? Post '03 sporties are for pu$$ie$... just kidding... next thing you know somebody will say EFI is better than carbed... lol.
EFI is better than carbed, unless you prefer dicking around with a carburetor all the time and waiting for your engine to warm up. I prefer my machines to start up and go. I'll never own another carbureted vehicle unless I get back into classic/antique cars. I don't drive those when it's 40* outside.

Maybe if you knew how to tune a carb properly on a bike. haha.
My engine warms up just fine with a carb. I dont know what you consider better.
how does the oil know its getting warm by efi or carb? sounds like youve had bad luck with carbs.
Lemme guess. efi makes more power too. haha.
i dont have to dick around with my carb either. when the efi catches up with my carb on performance,,,,,lemme know. the day is coming but its not here yet.
To many stock sporties out there im gonna trade mine off not worth the wait and disappointment. Im gonna do this rather than customize it to make it mine and put more in it just to have it be less desirable to the masses when I decide to move on months later.
Just waiting on the right new canvas priced right.

I rode my 2000 Fatboy home from a friend's unheated garage for him to clear out some space because we couldn't wait for Spring anymore. 30 degrees out started her up let it idle about 6-8 minutes while I geared up and rode it home 40 miles without a cough or sputter. That was with a properly tuned CV carb.
Export that bad boy to Ireland and I bet you get top dollar...and then some. Plop a case of good whiskey along with the sale and everyone stumbles away happy...until the next AM.
JK, nice bike, but limited audience will hurt sale. If you want to offload quick...$3500-$4000, but anything higher will turn heads.
KBB retail value is $4300..That being said with the mileage on it I would think you would be lucky to get $4000. All the extras do not add to the price...and with the custom paint I think it's going to be harder to sell for what you want
thanks a lot for the debate guys. a couple took it off my hands today! paid in cash! bitter sweet moment. the only stipulation was that i put the drag bars back on it
