the scoop on the stock air cleaner has a small opening for air to get in. You remove it with the SE air cleaner and the new back plate allows air the enter all the way around the surface of the filter element.

The only one I have experience with is the s/e but I think it performs well.

not to bring back a old bost but where could you find a cover for the big sucker and which would be better for the price the big sucker or Forcewinder

I use the stock a/c with the insert in the opening removed and the back cut out.
