Stall while starting

Stall while starting
So I never thought anything of this until a buddy pointed it out. When I press the start button, it doesn't instantly start up. It turns over like 1 time, Stalls for maybe 1-1.5 seconds then fires right up. This is pretty consistent every time I start the bike. Like I said, I never thought much of it since it's my first harley and it's done it since I bought it used last year, but a buddy I was riding with who has a 2013 48 pointed it out to me. His doesn't do this. Anything to be concerned about or is this a common sportster thing?

We know what your buddy rides, but not what you ride. If your bike's '06 or earlier, that would explain it, I think. It wasn't until 2007 that Harley started making EFI Sportsters. Carbs tend to take a moment.

Sorry, 08 nightster so it's fuel injected. I figured with the EFI it should fire right up.
