Hey, i believe that every person is intittled to there opinion.
If you like the style of your bike then that's cool.
BUT............That wheel looks nothing like a cop bike.
RETIRED.....N.Y.P.D. HWY 1.
[QUOTE=John Harper;12730159]........I really do not like having one in my mirror and then seeing it's just some asshat that wants to freak out motorists and bikers. I guess there must be some motivation, but I fail to see it. Not many people have good experiences with cops on bikes....

Wow.... Iron Order MC member flexing his **** up in here! Keep up the front....so tough!
I'd like to see one of these goofs on their fake cop bike ride down Vermont Avenue in South Central LA and pull up behind a car full of gangstas. See how that plan goes for you.
For a frame of reference I think you did a really good job of achieving your goal. Personally I prefer the more stripped down cafe'esk/ bobberish style but thats me and we all have our own views. As far as what you wanted to accomplish, aside from paint it looks pretty similar anyhow to a quick google search of motorcycle police bikes, I usually see police goldwings so I wanted to see if there was a style that resembled yours.
But doesn't quite match up with this one!
Maybe an older version of the Judge Dredd bike? One day the police will catch up to Hollywood!
was going for the what if harley built a kz1000p competitor look.
Personally I think once painted I will have nailed it.
As for the club bashing- not even gonna get into my thoughts on that. This forum is supposed to be about the bikes...
I could care less about the club. Talking about the bike. You missed by a huge margin with the front fairing. It looks completely wrong huge and "big nosed" on your bike. Remove that thing before you get it painted!!!
To each their own on the cop thing. I was a cop for two years before joining the military. I guess I did thing backwards from the norm. To put things nicely it wasn't what I wanted to get out of it and I wasn't willing to put that much time and my life into it. I met some good cops when I was out there that I look up to this day. I don't know your club or purpose so whatever. Anyways there's my thoughts since you asked.

I think it looks like what you were going for.. so kudos for that. That being said.. you did ask for opinions, and that fairing makes for one of the ugliest sportsters I've ever seen. I don't know why people ask for opinions on their bikes in the first place though.. nobody actually gives a **** what anyone else thinks do they?
