The plan is to revamp the audio system and mount it in the failing. But in the meantime the speakers are getting relocated to the upper faring bracket (will post pics)

Never saw a Vetter on a sporty before, didn't know it would fit, though I guess someone creative with a welder could make about anything fit. But it doesn't look at all like a police bike to me, especially with apes.
Looks... well, I've always thought the Vetter was one of the cleanest looking fairing designs ever, and handling was outstanding. I got to do an 1100 mile ride (and back a week later) behind one on an 850 Suzuki, and it was the smoothest long ride I ever took. Handled perfectly at 120, too. If I was going to do an all day or longer ride on a sporty, and could have a Vetter on it, I wouldn't care at all what it looked like, because I'd be comfortable with no buffeting, and the bike would probably handle just fine.
How does that bike ride, by the way? I'm guessing you've got one of the most comfortable windshields out there on a sporty.
edit: Oops, just noticed that's not a Vetter. Oh well. But how does it handle anyway?
finally got the stereo re-done. went with a jensen marine stereo and four 4 inch speakers. really wish i could have gone with larger speakers, but there just was not enough room. it sounds pretty damn good- a little louder than a stock harley system. bass response is...well...there. lol. now for the pics
Police bike? WTF? Like in the movies one shot of an FL cop bike. Next scene a dirt bike made to LOOK like the real thing jumping three cars. Nailed it...A for effort though.
