Not sure if anyone has this issue but every time I ride my bike my finger tips go numb. I changed grips and even with proper gloves still have this issue...Any know of a company that adds some type of anti vibe spacers ect? Also what about soft engine mounts? Thanks for your help.
I use Kuryakyn grips and end weights. They are worth the money and work best with the end weights attached. It seems the rubber mounted Sportys are the worst shakers. In the old days I'd fill the handle bars with silicone sealant, the one piece bars '73 and up. The old '72 and down 2 piece bars had throttle and spark advance and didn't work so well as the grips were a problem.

This question can't be answered intelligently without some basic information on the bike, starting with Year and Mileage. Lot's of things have changed in the 50+ years the Sporty has been in production.
I have the same problem with my 09 xl1200 low with factory grips. I heard Avon and Kuryakyn grips help out with this problem. Looks like new grips in my future also.
Are you strangling tge grips or are you resting your hands on them?
I had some cramping/numbness issues when I first got my bike. It had those thin stock grips and I was holding the grips like I was going to fly off the bike at any moment.
Fatter and feel much better w/ less gorilla gripping. I also relaxed my grip period. Now my hands are just in position but, not death locked. My palm move s the throttle. My gloves ( http://www.power-trip.com/catalog/in...Grand_National) also have grip studs that keep the throttle in position as long as my palm is resting on the grip.
YMMV
Without a windshield you have to hang on. With you just lay your hands on the grips and roll on. Your arms and hands should be totally relaxed when cruising.
The iron is a 2013, I even upgraded to the grips mentioned in this thread and still a lot of feedback to my hands causing numb-ness. Its insane the difference between the vibrations of this bike vs my 08 GSX-R. Two totally different machines but shoot if I could get this Iron to be half as smooth as my Suzuki I would be pretty happy.

I almost want to slap you. You are comparing a modern, smooth liquid cooled sport bike to a "vintage" harley. Ease of the grips and relax.
Its NEVER going to ride like a sport bike. Its NEVER going to not violently vibrate. No you cant smooth it out. Man up. Did you not test ride it before you bought it? You'd really be crying it it was a frame mounted engine like the old sportys.
Seriously, stop crying like a girl and ride the bike. They vibrate, They leak oil, they get hot, they make noises,... not the pinnacle of engineering. You'll learn to love it. Its raw like a chainsaw, not clinical like a dentist's drill.
Get over the vibration. Im not trying to be a jerk but, man....
I drive a hard mounted sporty and in the beginning half of my numbness issues was due to the death grip. Relax a little and it will come to you. Huge difference between you rice burned and a HD, apples to oranges, hard to compare the 2. Good luck with your issues hope it all works out.
