speedo/tach issues

speedo/tach issues
OK so i have a 2014 Forty Eight..
I ordered the 4 in combination digital speedo tach.
installed it yesterday.. and for the love of god I cant get into setup with it.
the directions say hold both turn signals and it will go into it.. Nope
well it first says go into acc mode with the key.. WTF I dont have a key.. only a fob no key to start this bike..
has anyone else had this problem.
I did call the dealer o bought the bike from and the part. the service tech tells me o you have to download from the stock tach to the new one.. NO YOU DON'T DUM ***.. are you really a tech.. I Asked if i brought it in they could just take a quick look at it... HELL NO... I must of been asking for a million dollars.. I cant get you in till friday.. really a week away and you want to charge me for it also.. and if the parts defective they say they wont exchange it. is that normal???

well, I'm of no help, but I'm really surprised that your 2014 does not have keys or an ignition switch. there Should be a way to put the ignition into accessory mode.
if you can't then maybe it is true that you have to program the unit by other means, either on your own or at the dealership.
Doesn't Harley have a tech help line for these questions?
Some one will eventually chime in with the answer here. surprised it hasn't happened already.
You know I'm only about 40 miles from Gettysburg but I've never been to that dealership yet.
