and once plugged in the drive into the bikes port, you went through the menu on the bike to start the update? I only ask that because a friend didnt realize you had to initiate the transfer on his Panam, he thought it would load into the bike on its own once plugged in
Do you know if it requires the drive to be formatted FAT32?
You should only find Fat32 on USB drives 4gb and smaller. You could always make a 4 gb partition on a bigger drive. So exFat would do up to 32 gb then on to NTFS.

Thanks. Got it all uploaded onto thew bike and now I have no ride modes, engine light is on, triangle is there and some codes. I'm assuming it's due the the BCM being the incorrect version. I've asked my HD dealer a few times now and no one has replied to me so I took a shot in the dark hoeing I had the updated BCM. I don't have anything good to say about my experience with the service dept at my HD dealer so far.

all of the above happened to mine. I said F it and pulled the Main fuse for a half hour and most of the codes went away next time I powered the bike on. The ride modes came back and the check engine light went away after riding around for a little while.
Harley **** the bed when it came to software on this bike 😂
