WELL SAID SIR!!! I can only hope (and expect) HD keeps an eye out for comments like this in the various forums and blogs out there. Given the current state of parts availability for our bike models (and who knows how the parts availability situation is for other HD models - not to mention other brands out there) they might not be able to do much about it but should AT THE VERY LEAST acknowledge the issue in a public statement and take ownership of the issue. I can't speak for other HD owners but I haven't heard a peep from HD regarding the problem. Will they maybe lose some sales because of an announcement like that? Very likely - but they would regain at least some trust from current owners (who, in my belief, they should show some loyalty to) and curb some of the bad publicity I read ALOT about in at least this forum. It's just good business and the right thing to do.

Default Back on the road!

I'm back on the road with a new Corbin seat and tail kit. That is with thanks to the forum in general, and Brian in particular, for getting a new taillight assembly to complete the installation. As to the Corbin Gunfighter seat and tailkit, I couldn't be happier with the way that turned out. The seat is very comfortable, and whole unit really looks good on the bike. I think it looks pretty good in the photos, but it looks much better in person. It's a really classy piece of gear. I also put heated grips on the bike, and that is a really nice comfort item; it was about 40 deg when I was riding it home, and it made a really noticeable difference on the bars. So, I'm really happy with the way the bike looks and rides. I am very pleased with my dealer. And, I met a great, helpful guy (Brian) through this whole episode. But I'm still pissed at Harley Davidson, because if it was up to them, my bike would still be down until June.

Wow - I'll bet that seat would REALLY helps with acceleration! I know I have to hang on for dear life when I apply full throttle on mine. I still have the stock seat but just added a pillion - which didn't help much but I bought it mostly to help support a tools backpack so the full weight isn't on my shoulders (nor on the bare tail). Great pics! I've been looking at Corbin seats for a while now and I think I've settled now on the 'Solo' but I'd have to ask about the thickness of the seat vs the stock seat. The length and width are identical but they don't show the thickness. The stock seat is just horrible and really limits the length of time you can spend on it. If they had a seat like yours with a little less 'rise' on the back - just enough to support those acceleration Gs, it'd be a sweet seat I think. I want to keep the smaller LEDs I have on the back now and the other 3 seat models all incorporate the stock light assembly. Anyway, your bike looks awesome and I KNOW what it feels like not to ride.
Hey - good news on my display error issue - I was able to simply reset it so, at least for mow, I don't have to take my bike in! We'll see how long that lasts. Happy and safe rides to ya!!

Keep an eye on the right side turn signal, some people have been reporting the exhaust melting them.
Looks good, I almost went this route as well.
