I think its a one way vent of some sort. I had a similar assy at work and took it apart to check it out. Looks like a vent for a port under a diaphram. Vent assy?
Looks to be a plug that is installed after they machined that oil gallery. Part of case machining process.
This. When the drill the block for the oil galleys, they often have to plug a hole they've created. The most common way of doing this is to press a ball bearing into the material, and then peen over the ball bearing to hold it in place. That is a manufacturing defect and it needs to go back to the dealership so they can notify HD about it.
I notice oil coming of this not sure what it is. Bike brand new so don’t want to take it to dealer if is something normal is the little ball bearing
On a phone but appears oil came from wind blowing off hose. Run a clean white cloth under the hose barb.
Also not unusual to see weeping on a new bike on that black powder coat finish around bolt heads and washers. Wash it off with some dish soap and hot water. See if it comes back.
