I'm guessing you may not be familar with these bikes. the 21+ Sportster S is a COMPLETELY new bike. It has NOTHING in common with the older Sportsters. From a construction standpoint, it has more in common with the Pan America than any other Harley, so him asking here about oil filters is reasonable, because there's not a lot of info out there for these bikes yet.
I was curious about this so just did a few quick searches. Looks like the Pan America and the Sportster S us the same part number filter. I didn't find anything that cross references to it.
There are very likely aftermarket filters out there that will fit and meet the specs of the OEM filter. Could be the external dimensions of the canister or something that make it unique. A knowledgeable filter person could match up the threads and gasket dimensions and compare the filter media specs and anything relevant and find a filter, if all the specs are available from Harley. The question would be is it worth it.
Again, just from some quick searches, I don't see anyone offering an aftermarket filter yet. Someone else may find something doing a deeper look. If I had one I would just run the OEM filters until a reputable company like K&N offers a direct replacement. Personally, I don't think there is anything wrong with the Harley OEM filters.
Edit:
WeeBoy 1 posted while I was typing. I tried crossing the HD number to HifloFiltro and didn't get an matches. Interesting. Maybe I need to work on my searching skills.
