Default Dark side

Can anyone give me a tire make and size, car tire to replace the rear tire on my 1991 FLHTCU from those who have done it? 130 90 16. Price is not the object. Experiences and recommendations. Exact dimensions or very close please.
I would welcome PM's if one would prefer not get into the discussion :-)
Thanks, Frank

I watched his video yesterday BUT, that does not help you to find the size you need.

I found this post from 2008,
Search function on this sight sucks Google high jack.Rant over.Asking for input on Car tires . This is about running one on the rear with a sidecar . I do not want to debate merits of the CT on a normal bike. Different worlds. But fit on a normal bike is worth listening to.2017 RGU factory tire is 180/65-B16 I have done a lot of research. But like most things it gets off on nonsense that has nothing to do with the subject.I did find people running 195/55-R16 CT on normal bikes. But doing the home work it seems the 195/60-R16 is almost prefect match .Same height and only .59 inches wider. Numbers below. Has anyone mount one of these tire on a newer Touring bike and what brand? 180/65-16 195/60-16 DifferenceDiameter inches (mm) 25.21 (640.4) 25.21 (640.4) 0 (0) 0%Width inches (mm) 7.09 (180) 7.68 (195) 0.59 (15) 8.3%Circum. inches (mm) 79.21 (2011.88) 79.21 (2011.88) 0 (0) 0%Sidewall Height inches (mm) 4.61 (117) 4.61 (117) 0 (0) 0%Revolutions per mile (km) 799.92 (497.05) 799.92 (497.05) 0 (0) 0%

When the link failed I copied and pasted the whole post from the other forum. But I didn't notice that he was asking about a 130 tire not a 180 sorry. I've been interested in the dark side as well but have no experience. I shoulda kept out of the conversation......lol

The text you posted seems to be from one of mine on my 2017 sidecar rig when we decided to switch to a car tire. 195/60R16. That bike had a 16 rear and 17 front fractory . It worked very well. The New frame (2009 up) is a lot different. Making it easier to do.
On the 2020 with sidecar it was a little different due to factory wheels being 18 inch. We did get it worked out and it works perfect . Required a new new 16 inch wheel and a 195/65R16 to get everything as it should be. Most anything can be done if you are willing to keep at it.
We have a Car tire on the rear of a HD 750 street and matching car tire on the sidecar. Last week when I removed sidecar from the 2020 RGL for a bit I swapped out the wheels and put motorcycle tire back on . Quick easy job.
I do not personally recommend a Car tire on a two wheeled bike. I have done it and so have many others. I just see no reason for it with the AE 180's on the new bikes. 20,000 miles on rear even a little more some times makes it not worth the trouble IMO.

2020RGK with 195/65R16
