Gentlemen I sure do appreciate the help.

The motor has had head work. Now exactly what that means I'm not sure of'
The head work from here http://jwperf.com/
Cams GMR 577 will try and double ck specs
http://gmrperformance.com/products/cams/

The cam specs
Intake Exhaust
lift 577 557
dur 243 238
open 20 43
close 43 15

Theses specs are from the the fella I bought the motor from.
Other than the heads and cams the engine is Stock as per Chad

In getting ready to take the bike to a dealer to try and find out just what is in the ECM I took the PC5 off the bike to avoid a bunch of questions like I had at another dealer yesterday. They were pushing to leave the bike with them and they would fix me right up. Maybe they can but this is my chicken and I'm screwing it.

Now in taking the PC5 off and riding the bike around the block I noticed it seemed to be running well. So I went up the road a ways just play with it some. I don't think it is running perfect (some hesitation) but the miss certainly was gone at least for the 3-4 min ride. Where as before it would be missing as soon as I took off.

Headed to another dealer to see if I can get the info I feel is needed.
Wish me Luck

Thanks again WP

I did. These guys were very helpful. Man did this story change. This bike has been Raced Tuned and we cannot find the little orange box. Least now I know what to look for and the fact It's NOT mounted or plugged into the bike.

Learned a good bit this morning. The bike is really running pretty good (without the PC5) although the tech warned me as well as Chad. It's most likely will be running a bit lean.

I'm gonna put some effort to locating this little white box with the tuner inside it, that the owner says was in the bike last he knew. I don't remember seeing such a box but will spend some time searching my shop we swapped the motor in.

Asked the tech at the dealership to test ride my bike and offer his opinion as to how it ran. He put 5 mi on it with some highway time.
He said it runs out really well but as I mentioned above he expressed concerns about running to lean

If I cannot locate (I'm not very hopeful at all) the Race Tuner I would like to ask for some suggestions as to how this might be handled.

Thank You Guys

This is one I worked with last year in auto tune for a while.
I'll keep this and thanks.

Do you think this will still apply since I learned what I have my last 2 posts?

Thanks Again WP

Ultranutz can probably tell you a little about the heads. They were originally done for him by JW Performance. He never installed them and ended up selling them to a guy North Carolina when there were installed on the engine you bought. The cams that were sold with the heads were removed and a set of GMR 577 cams were installed. Shortly after that build the bike was brought to me to swap out the 103 for a 124". I can say that you have a very good engine that would really benefit from a proper dyno tune. UltraNutz also lives Texas and might be able to point you in the right direction to get a good tune.

Todd, Dave lives in MidLand. Any recommendations?

I could be happy with the way it runs now except for the lean part.

There again getting ittuned right and possibly even better performance. That would be just too cool

Thanks for the extra info and your help

There are no good tuners in the midland Odessa area that I am aware of it sounds to me like it does need a good tune like Chad said. But I am a bit confused here if the engine came out of Virginia where did the bike come from and how would the bike have a tune on it for that engine? Or maybe I am missing something

He bought the bike with a bad c engine, bought the replacement off my customer through me. He doesn't know what is flaahed in the ECM just that it has been flashed with a SEPST. At this point it really needs a tune.

Ok I got it now a little slow but I will catch up. Yes that thing does need a tune if you don't want to be dealing with another engine issue
