Yes what I meant was exactly what Todd said with the amount of engine work you have you really do not want to be running it with out a dyno tune on it. I am not a fan of the pc5 and personally do not believe it is going to do the job with the amount of work don't to your engine. Others may say other wise that is just imo. At the end of it all I think you need to find a good tuner that you will take the bike to and talk with them about what tuning module they like to use because every one is different. For instance I will tune with all 4 of the flash tuners available TTS , Direct link ,Power Vision and SESPT but every tuner has there "go to" module and some only tune with one or the other. I have my favorite also but it's up to the customer as long as it's one of the four mentioned.
Thanks for cking back and the reply I do have a decision to make.
May I ask your what your favorite is. PM me if you like
Thanks Again
Yup, my belief is that once you use the dongle on a bike, it becomes part of the bike and should stay with it. All your doing is screwing over the next guy if you don't give it up. People get hung up on the cost of the tuning and tuning devices. It should be considered part of the cost of doing the build. If someone cant or is not willing to spend the money on the final part, why even start. JMHO tho.
Agreed
The way these are made (SEPT) if you choose to use it it should go with the bike.
May get some help on a replacement. That would be nice
I get made fun of on occasion for some my tools at the shop.
Funny how some of the youngsters ask to borrow one sometimes.
A couple weeks ago I was the only one who still had a brake spoon, to help a fella figure out some drum brakes. Said he had never worked on drum brakes

funny you bring that up. Couple of years ago bought my oldest son a Chevy Cobalt to drive back and forth to A&M in Corpus. Didn't realize then that this 2012 model still had brake drums on the rear! Who the hell still uses brake drums these days? Anyways, 2 weekends ago he drives up and I'm standing in the driveway and I'm like J, what is that noise? "Oh I don't know it's been doing that for a while" was the response I got. So instead of hitting him in the head with the hammer I was holding, I just took his keys and test drove it. Come back, pull the rear left wheel off, and what do I see.. A BRAKE DRUM! I knew it was going to be a bad day at that point. 9 hours later, a few thrown tools across the garage, a new wheel hub assembly (bearings were shot), and she was fixed. I told my wife at that point, I don't give a rats azz if we can save $200 by doing it myself, I will never touch those damn drum brakes again, PERIOD! She lets me say that word sometimes. LOL
Todd I don't know what that means but I am definitely not old enough to have a child in collage I guess I am just a youngen at my 36 years. I kind of like this little banana even though it does not really go with my post I just wanted to see him jam out o yeah
"I thought you'd be bigger.. I mean older" Guess I should take you up on that invite to stop by your place since I'm through there at least once every couple of months.. :-)
51 YEARS OLD AND I HAVE WORKED ON SOME CRAP ... My dad was a fixer upper jack of alltrades and told me... Son, you usally have the tools in your shop somewhere to do the job, you might not know it but you probably do... He was right.

One of boys showed up with a similar statement. The jack and stands came out and I supervised him take things apart. He didn't make his date that night and I had him up at 7 am getting parts and fixing the car.
The other boy did about the same and got fired from a podunk job cause he couldn't make it to work. I really did him a favor anyway.
They learned somethings with these experiences.
Now the girls just didn't have a car for a few days according to how much stupid was involved.
I did that with a plumbing water leak a few years ago. I befriended a plumber that hates working on his vehicles. been good so far
