Yep, time for our second round. Rains finally letting up a little here. Have to admit, it's detail time in preparation for bug time. I'll be glad when we get into Nov..
I use any good wax from an auto store like Carnuba or Mother's. The ones that come in the tin with a sponge. Wash and dry bike as usual then use the sponge to wipe was over the entire bike. Work quite quickly then using a soft microfiber wipe it all off. Nice shiny bike and it does make it easier to get bugs off.
Got 'em here in St. Augustine starting last week. HATE this time of year. Been cleaning them off my new F150 all week too. Guess I have an excuse to spend some time getting the bike cleaned up. With all the rain we're due to get tomorrow doesn't look like much riding will get done unfortunately.
Was a Black Widow Harley in Port Charlotte Fl yesterday, was standing outside of the service dept and noticed a couple flying around. Guess its that time again!!!
I just want to say one thing. I hate F'n love bugs and they are THE most frustrating bug on the planet. I would rather be stung by a hornet, bee, whatever, than go riding for an afternoon and be covered up by those GOD forsaken insects. I just don't like them.

I feel your frustration brother! Living in North Florida is no cakewalk having to deal with them either. HOWEVER, I disturbed a nest of Yellow Jackets last week while working in the yard and the pain I had to deal with for a couple of days from a dozen or so stings from them little b@stard$ more than outweighed the aggravation of cleaning up the little black and orange flying fornicators off my bike, car, truck, etc. Thankfully they only hang around a few weeks or so...
