Rob was killed in a motorcycle crash on Nov. 27, 2016. He was the fiddle player for the band Bearded Brothers and he leaves behind a wife and children.
I understand there will be a benefit for Rob's family on Sat. Dec. 3rd. from noon until 8pm at Sims Park in downtown New Port Richey. If you live in the Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas Co. area and can attend this benefit your presence will be greatly appreciated.
UPDATE. Due to permitting requirements, the date will be Sat. Dec. 17, 2016
I realize that I do not belong to this fine group of riders and wish to say that I am disheartened to say the least, that a fellow rider died while riding. I hope his family will find closure along with my condolences, I hope that Mr. Cartwright comes back as another motorcycle rider to finish his journey that was cut too short. RIP.

The Bearded Brothers we're playing at High Octane Saloon in Homosassa on Nov. 27th according to their website. He had to be riding home afterwards when it happened. The gig started at 1:00pm. Crash happened 8:46 pm. A car pulled left in front of him.
I've seen this group play several times at High Octane. Be careful out there. Many cagers aren't paying attention. R.I.P.
I learned from the band's facebook page that due to permitting requirements the benefit date at Sims Park will be Sat. Dec. 17th., 2016, not this coming Sat the 3rd.
