Eating anything at McDonalds will just shorten your riding years!

Enjoy your trip. Beautiful area with great rides in every direction!

Not to threadack...
Never stopped at the Mickey D's in Macon but I always thought the worst run one is in Apopka

The Southwest salad is the only thing I'll eat at McD's. It's actually pretty good.

May want to stay off I85N, there's a speed bump in Atlanta metro.

That area of GA is the best kept secret of motorcycle rides. I like it better than NC & TN because there is a lot less traffic. Wolf Pen Gap Road (Rte 180) is fairly close to Helen and is a great technical ride.

I know you'd rather stay off of major highways and probably won't come anywhere near Atlanta but just a reminder for anyone else who may come close. Remember the i85 bridge that is closed and it's causing some major congestion on other roads. They are claiming June 15th to have i85 up and running but that's subject to change. We plan on riding up to Tn but staying with family north of ATL but we've decided to change our route just because of family keeping us up to date with traffic reports.

Make sure to allow extra time through Atlanta until they get Interstate 85 open again from the fire. Heard traffic is a nightmare since its one of the main roads through Atlanta!

Yeah I knew about that...May end up running up to Elijay and Blue Ridge to see some friends the first part of the week, then onto Helen.
