I've been out of the game for a couple years and looking to get back in. In the market for a Road Glide, It most likely will by new or late model/low mile used. I've never bought new from a dealer so any input as far as pricing, any discounts (I know, right?), free service or discounted accessories would be helpful. I live just east of Tampa so the dealers I would check first are Lakeland, Brandon and Bert's in St Pete. Space Coast in Melbourne is an option as I'm a part time resident of Melbourne Beach as well, so any info on those dealers would be helpful. If you were treated fairly by a person at one of these dealers recently on a purchase I would gladly take their name. As far as a bike, I'm just looking for a Standard Road Glide in black. The special is nice but not sure if the extra items are worth it to me. The only accessories I would need right away would be a tall boy seat and possible a back rest. Thanks for the help.
VERY good customer service. FAIR prices. He is BIG into supporting our military and truly does care abt us bikers. He is not just in it to make a buck.
This story will give you an idea of the kind of GREAT guy he is and where his heart is.
Yrs back, I was in a BBQ restaurant with my American Legion Riders T-Shirt on with 3 other guys, sitting having our meal.
The owner of the Treasure Coast HD, came by our table, THANKED US for our military involvement and PAID for our bill.
The owner did not know who we were. He knew nothing abt us. Other than we are bikers and militarily involved.
THAT was NICE! THAT spoke volumes abt the kind of guy he is. <-- But that was not just it. As stated above, his dealership is run the way he is. NICE, fair deals, they follow up and truly care abt you.
TCHD may be a bit of a distance from you but likely WORTH the trip.
He was a nice man, I was with friends when they bought bikes one Sunday, he let the rest of us have anything we wanted free in the merchandise department. Another time I was with a friend who was buying a bike, he told us to go to Cowboys next door and tell them our lunch bill was on him.
Rodin Younessi owns Treasure Coast, Space Coast, Seminole, LA Harley and Top Rocker Harley as well as one in NC and a Lamborghini dealership in West Palm Beach. He is a motorcycle and Le Mans racer. He always lacked interpersonal skills, at least in my opinion but he knows how to make money and he has a ton of pull with Harley. I think the guys in his Titusville store are a little easier to deal with versus Palm Bay but they all work together. I purchased my 2019 RG from Bruce R's New Smyrna Beach store. They were as laid back as it gets.
Update; Based on the reality I may only get to ride maybe twice a month, I think I'm going to buy used. I checked out a couple used at dealers and it seems they want top dollar for clapped out touring bikes, most with high miles. FB has a few promising leads I'll be checking out. I am looking for a 14 or newer RG but would consider a SG or Electra. Thanks again for any leads.
