If we are going to just play music why not develop a playlist from what everyone likes and just play it ourselves. What is the benefit of having someone else play it for us? Not sure of the logic in having a DJ.
I like the musician idea. Either that or do it ourselves.

i personally think its a waste of time and money. with all of use showing up at different times and days and all going in this direction and that direction. the closeness of hanging out in front of the room will be lost. that is were we talk about the days events or our lives. music playing in the background would be nice coming from a radio. just my .02cents

I think the North Cuba Chapter needs to pair up and perform some of these Latin dances.
Examples:
Masterblaster and Big Al can do the Salsa.
Throttlejunkie Dave and Sick Puppy can do the Tango.
Philip and 2 beers can do the mambo.
Now that would be entertainment!!!!!!
