Riding Update
Well, since I was about 3 1/2 hours late for work I could not ride it yesterday.
But, today I rode her for the very first time and she took my cherry baby. I was in love with the feel and the sound. This was my first ride ever on a true road (non parking lot) and doing 35. Ok, I know that is not fast to you all, but for a newbie, it was awesome.
I love it and I cannot wait to gain the experience. I need more work on my turning, but the more I was riding, the more I was improving. I came home and decided to do a few laps in the area. I rode for an additional 30 minutes and was starting to gain more confidence.
I am sorry for sounding like a babbling idiot and posting such a long boring thread, but man did I love it!!
I may be 39, but I sure felt like a kid today
Looking forward to meeting up with you all and remember to keep the rubber side down!1!!
I scheduled to finally get mine tomorrow, so you're not alone in your "Newbie" status. I feel like a kid waiting for Santa right now. And I got ya beat by 7 years!
I've never owned a bike before and am taking possession of a FatBob.
Been waiting on it for almost 7 months since I ordered it.
Stay safe out there. Bill
jor just remember...look where you wanna go...as in turn your head the bike will follow...once you get comfortable with your ability to navigate a corner...then you'll start saying to yourself...hmmmmmmm I wonder how far I can lean this MF'er over in that turn...that my friend is when the fun has begun....first time you scrap the pegs your sphincter will get a cramp in it....but pretty soon you'll be going "damn I didn't hear nothing in that last turn" bikes were made for turns....so have at it!

LOL, two things I worked on and need to do some more work on are timing it and also trustuing to lean the bike more at higher speed. I at times go too wide on a turn.
All I can say is practice practice practice, it will become natural soon
