All,
I'm heading out to the West Coast today for Uncle Same today for a few weeks and will be back for 4th of July weekend. Bike's gonna stay parked in the garage tethered to a battery tender. Anyone planning any rides for that weekend yet?
Also, I accepted a job offer from Boeing on Friday, and will likely be heading up to Charleston the last week of July to start. Just have to wait for all the paperwork, background check, and **** test to clear before I can get started. I'll be working on and building the new 787. I'll be back here to St. Augustine on weekends until I can get everyone moved up there. But the current job I have just isn't working out as well as I'd like. And, the prospects of anything good here in the local area have been really slim since January. Bill.
I always did well on '****-tests'. Good luck on the new airliner.
Let us know where in Charleston you are....(Barbara and I had a ball when we rode up there last year.)
Will watch and see what happens to this post for the FOURTH.
Just got to my hotel here in San Diego, overlooking the bay. It's now 12:20 am Pacific time Monday and I have to be at work in less than 8 hours! Gonna be a long day I fear.
Not sure yet where I'll be living in Charleston. Have already contacted a realtor to get an idea of rent prices. Most likely we'll be living within about 10 miles of the plant/airport/Air Force base area. But, I will be sure to post updates when I finally get settled.
Gotta hit the hay. Later...Bill
too bad Boeing didn't hire you for the F-18 program at Cecil. there is another company at Cecil that turns airliners into cargo planes....FlightStar....but I don't know if they are hiring or not. Best of luck !!
