Yes we are blessed with good weather, I'm grateful for that..
BUT...
I'm getting sick of driving straight.. I live in Lake Worth (South of West Palm Beach and North of Boca Raton)..
Where is the good riding? Please don't say A1A.. Thinking I may take a trip to Atlanta sometime soon to get some twisties and hills. However in the meantime, do you have any good routes that you take near here, or within an hour or 2 hour proximity? I ride a road king, and also have a sport touring bike.
Well you live in So Florida....so I will let the guys take that area. But there are lots of areas up here that have some curvy roads. If ya want twisties and switchbacks....ya gotta go up to GA,TN,NC area....I love it up there. Also have you ever done the dragon...too cool.
IMO FL can't touch the riding up north....I found that I really like the switchbacks and twisties. We even have a trail called the "Ozella Trail" and it isn't bad. Good luck welcome to the crew and pick up a ride with us sometime!
not much down here, but there are a few nice twists and turns around the lake - not exactly sure of the route, but I know some on here have it mapped out
You are pretty much screwed down there but you can go north I-4 and the riding is not to shabby. Lots of good roads if you have a guide that knows where to ride. We ride all the time around Lakeland and north if you want to join in anytime. We ride during the week as well as the weekends. Be sure to check out the Ocala Rally thread at the top of this section and join us in November. Welcome to the crew! Lets Ride!

Any suggestions would be great!
Old Man that once rode Suzuki says, We ride where we live. (sounds like something he would say anyway)

Hey! Pick a long weekend and let me show you around N. Georgia.
Just for contrast..... Here's a Crew pic at the summit of one of Flordia's highest points (Sugarloaf Mountain, 312 feet):
Now here's a pic of one of Georgia's highest points (Brasstown Bald, 4784 feet):
Nuff said?
Not busting anyone's *****; and like Old Man on Suzuki says, "We ride where we live". So accept what you got for what it is (or isn't) and realize that a couple of long weekend trips can give ya an awesome variety not far from home. I love my buds in Florida; and they know how to throw one heck of a party.
