Great idea. How hard is it to remember a 3 digit code? Set the combo, take a picture of it on your phone or save it as a contact. Or make it the first three numbers in your tag.
Yep I used to put mine on the ground underneath pillion peg outa sight until a dog pissed on, lucky it was just the outside of it and not on the liner.
I have a combination caribiner clip it locks helmet onto anything ya want.
I think it was $10 at Local Harley Shop
my luck, the helmet, lock and clutch/break lever would be gone.
(easier to steal the windshield, bat wing fairing, saddlebags, seat and tour pack.
With the right tools and time, you can have highway pegs, mirrors, yank the grips off...air horn and air cleaner.that cool electric oil temp gauge? Yup. Your helmet is just to screw with you.
Really guys?? I have never had any helmet stolen or messed with. Who would feel the need to steal someone's smelly, sweaty helmet from another bike in Florida??? HOT, SWEATY FLORIDA!!
If someone is such a lowlife scumbag that needs to steal a helmet, in Florida no less which requires no helmets, they can have mine.
I would rather them take my $50 helmet than mess with anything else on the bike. If thats all they take, they can have it.
Then I can laugh when I think about how the next time he parks his bike and leaves the helmet on the bike, some big smelly dog will go **** on it.
Hmmm, maybe THAT'S why dogs **** on helmets. Karma!!
