Well they just picked it up to bring it on for service.
Changed the fluids this weekend.... Took two days, off and on, to change the primary. First drained it, then went to remove the derby cover to add fluid... The second torx bolt promptly rounded right out. Put some JB weld epoxy on it and a sacrificial T27 to that. Let it set for 6 hours and put a ratchet to it... Never thought it would... And I wasn't disappointed, it didn't. Next I tried drilling it out and using an easy out... Nope, no good. Finally grabbed a chisel and hammer. Started tapping it in an unscrewing direction. 5 minutes later the freaking thing was off. That should have been my first try.
Then headed right to the hardware store and bought stainless steel replacements with hex heads. I have always had trouble with those torx rounding on the derby cover.... Never again though.
Just got an interesting call from Harley's service manager. Said he was perplexed with my bike. Asked me if anyone had been "messing around" with my clutch. Told h no one other than them has touched it ever.
He went on to say that there was a tie wrap holding cables together that was of a brand they don't use. Sounds like someone F'd something up. I asked if there was something big wrong and he said no then something about the clutch plates. No freaking idea about any of it.
