This morning as I was ready to head out I started my bike before getting on it. I noticed the dongle for the battery tender was hanging loose so I went to tuck it in the engine area. Instead of up, I pushed it straight aross (right side of bike towards left side). This was directly above something with a chrome cap that sort of looks like an oil filter, but isn't (starter?).
As I did this, the bike stalled, and now will not restart. I looked as best I could to see if I knocked something loose, but it does not appear so. Not sure if a fuel line goes through there or not... I have no idea what I did. The dongle is brand new (last Sunday I installed it) so it is not bared wires.
I got back from the gym 90 minutes later and tried again. The engine just keeps turing over but won't catch.
I called the new Chester's HD in Sunrise but they cannot pick it up until Friday.
I haven't had any problem like this but it sounds like either you are not getting spark to your cylinders or fuel. First confirm that you have spark at your plugs, if not you know where to begin.
I hate to even ask this but.....is the "Run" switch in the "ON" position?

Admittedly, I had to go check''' but yes. It is in RUN mode
If you just installed new battery tender cables, the ECM had to be removed from it's nest on top of the battery. It might not have been disconnected, but maybe the connection to the harness should be checked. Good Luck.
Believe it or not, it was eaiser to pinpoint once it got darker out. I used a real bright shop light to look in there just now and saw a connector where I pushed the pigtail. I saw a little bit of orange all around. It had gotten pushed out ever so slightly. It was tough to fit my hand in to get at it, but I eventually heard a "click" and knew I had it. Tried turning the engine over and it caught right away!
Thanks for the suggestions and moral support. I had already resigned myself to HD picking the bike up on Friday.
