Ok mopardave, I think you are wrong, and my original post, before you hacked it up to make fun of me gives the reasons why. Now can you prove that anything I said was wrong? No, I don't think its a gimmick. Its all about choices and free enterprise.

I agree with what you are saying except for the gimmick part. I hacked up your reply because you didn't really add anything new. If you had read the whole thread you would have known that. If you wanna know how I or others feel then read it. If you just wanted to post your opinion, ya just did.
Had new tires put on my PU around July, the service manager ask, "Sir do you want Nitrogen put in the tires?" So I asked him why would I want to go and do that, so that every time I need air I have to bring it back to you? Plus not use my air compressor in my garage? No thank you I tell him and he walks away grinning like I figured out one of his sales tactics. my .02

I did read the whole thread and I think I did make a couple of new points. How can you call it a gimmick for the automotive industry when your original post clearly states the benefits for aviation? Isn't it just about pressure changes, which are caused by temperature, leakage, and yes altitude? We can certainly agree to disagree. Its really not that big a deal.
You don't use it in your own bike, but you do sell the generators? That almost screams gimick to anyone listening. And to your statement about the biggest reason for aircraft use is pressure changes, its probably just as important to the airline industry that its inert, if you happen to blow one out, no flames or adding to flames in the event of a fire.
IMHO anyone putting nitrogen in their tires should also try this great new product Enzyte, its for natural male enhancement.
