Getting Patched...

That said I am calling BS on this post. While a patched outlaw biker may be a crazy, badazz, a patched Marine biker is a crazy, WELL TRAINED, bad azz. And the USMC does not allow intimidation of their members, ever. I don't see any MC trying to take on the Marines, and if you think the outlaw MCs run in packs and cover each other's backs, you have no clue about the USMC.
My old man was a Marine and I was regular Army, I know the training and disipline these guys have. I pulled a lot of CP in my day and you've never broken up a bar fight until you try to break these guys up, they are finished when they are finished. So unless you have a newspaper article or some other way to back up your post, I say BS.
Oh and to the original poster, let it go, it is NOT worth the potential hassle.

(Snip a bit more)
I'll go so far to say that most of the the military clubs do not necessarily ask "permission", but do check in and agree to follow the usual traditions of the MC world. It doesn't mean the military clubs "support" the local dominant, either. It simply means that they want to make themselves known, show what their purpose is, and peaceably exist in the MC world. Without that, the military MC would get no respect from any other MC in the area. Just ain't a lot of fun if you cut off 90% of the partying that can happen, or can't count on the support of other MCs for any of your charity events, especially when you're trying to do something to help other vets.
Besides, I'd wager the USMC would simply ban their active duty members from belonging to an MC if that MC decided to go to "war" with a civilian MC.
There's a lot more to this, but if you think you have a need to know, find a vet MC and inquire about becoming a hangaround.
Breaking up Marine bar fights? Been there and done that. Worse/best one was The Barrel Club in GTMO, Cuba with about 40 or 50 guys, evenly split between Marines & Navy. Wasn't fun, but really wasn't any worse than a couple other bar fights I had the displeasure of having to wade into during Shore Patrol duty. Damned drunks never seem to know when they're hurt and oughtta be trying to get themselves and their buddies away from the scene.
I'll buy that they went as a courtesy, but not that they were forced into it. I also agree with the rest of your post, particularly love for the drunks that aren't aware they were bleeding all over my duty uniform, lol.
To FolsomPrisonBlues I stand called and corrected, my bad.
