yea I forgot to way at a bird once too It was so pissed that it did a suicide mission into my knee . hey if it wasn't night time I would have saw him and waved.
I always wave no matter what they ride.....and I do get upset when someone does not return the wave. I feel insulted like that person is to good to wave at me!
I'm out to enjoy my ride, not wave at every bike if I did that my left hand would never be on the handlebar. Hell I remember when VW bug drivers used to wave at one another, that got tiresome too. So wave if ya want to, I might or might not--most likely not.
I wave most of the time, yep no matter what they ride, but some times I just give two fingers up from the grip. I think its a pretty cool camaraderie thing myself. A brother hood of the ride.
I'm also big into Jeepin' and Jeepers have the same wave. The equal to the brand wave with Bikes is the same as guys in Jeeping that only wave to the modified guys. Mine is fairly extreme but I wave to all any way.
Of course I often figure at least half of the riders I wave at are prolly people I wouldn't have anything to do with...lol.
I have to agree with CJ8, as a jeep owner, you ask the same questions, the guys with the newer jeeps don't wave, and when I pass an ole CJ I always get a friendly hello. It was like that where I grew up in the country, with everyone. I live on an Army base, and that Brother/Sister rider is even a closer bond, around post always get a wave, and the further I get away from post, the less people are friendly with other riders, I don't get bend out of shape about it. I wave, if only to say "I acknowledge you, as a rider" I think its a respect thing.
well i'll say this...i used to wave to every rider no matter what they were sitting on and for the most part everyone always waved back.but the bottom line is it just gets old.dont get me wrong i still wave to other riders...escpecially if they wave first.it's just common courtesy but when your out riding all day how can you truly enjoy the ride if your constantly waving at every rider that goes by.i'm not for or against it but when i've got the radio going and i'm in that zone just enjoying the ride it simply takes away from my ride to feel obligated to wave at every one
