Lots of motorcyclists here, far too many to spend time waving. One nice custom they have here though is when you pass a slower rider, you wave just to take the edge off that move.
I drive a Chevy truck and I don't feel the need to wave at every Chevy truck I meet on the road....I drive a Camaro....I drive a 300ZX.....I drive a GMC Jimmy....I dont wave at everyone who drives all those vehicles...however,I usually wave BACK at most any motorcyclist who waves first...or at least give them a nod....now,in my boat ,almost everyone waves at everyone....:>)
Seen this thread 1,000 times ... I wave to all, even old fart farmers riding their tractor in the field and usually get a return wave ... probably something you city folk will never understand..

Well heck, if I lived in a place where I saw just one or two riders each time out, I'd wave too
Today I went riding and this morning passed a group of 6-8 HD riders on touring bikes and not a one returned my friendly wave.
(P.S. some of you guys are takin' this thread WAYYYYYY too serious and it wasn't intended to be a serious gripe, it was intended for lighthearted conversation. I mean, who really cares seriously about this chit )
