been riding my bike everyday for about a month and i get waved at by everyone, truckers, bikers, people in cars, pedestrians... i'm new to riding so most of the time i'm apprehensive to remove my hand from the grip so i've snubbed a few folks on accident, but gave a head nod when i could think to do so if i wasn't contemplating the next ten things i have to do while approaching a light or something...

i enjoy the waving, get a kick out of it...

It all depends. If it’s a beautiful sunny day and there are a bunch of bikes cruising the back roads what’s the point – we all know why we are there. If I pass a lone rider going the opposite direction I wave. Blowing by the weekday commuter bikes with their igloo ice chest bungeed on the back – nah.

my buddy drives an old jeep with a lift kit and huge tires. He always gets a wave from other Jeep guys. Always thought that was kind of cool how they band together. Now that I'm riding it's even better.
