whatever. I'm not making a career out of being a Vet. DId my hitch, got on with my life. I voted for Obama and I own a .38 Special airweight. Sue me...
Icing on the cake! Terryfxst - you can have this guy!
All citizens of this wonderful country are guaranteed the liberty to exercise legal forms of irregular judgment. I also realize that some of those poor people are so irregular that they harbor hate for the national symbol of the very home of that liberty they cherish. The term "oxymoron" comes to mind.
I'll still uphold my obligation to defend their right to be irregular (no matter how foolish they may be). Personally though, I'm also enough of a barbarian to wish that blatant contempt for the symbol of our wonderful Nation were illegal so that I could behave quite differently. However, that would be illegal while their behavior is merely foolish. Go figure...
ETA: On Obama, the "second coming" Messiah of Follywood and CNN (Communist News Network)... already a known liar and master of say "this" and then DO "that".

I grew up during the V.N.War. I remmember crawling up into my dads bed and asking him if I would have to fight in the war when I grew up. A lot of the guys were drafted and some guys volunteered. Vietnam was hell for all the combat vets. And I have the greatest respect for all of them, and that goes double for WWII vets. We love you guys.
The only complaint I have w/the OP's post is, 'no matter the party affilation'. Demacrats have been trying to cut military spending for ever. Not sure this is a good idea, leaves us vulnerable. My 0.2 cent's
yeah, there you go. you had your tongue up Bush's ***. tasted good, didn't it? I loved this country but everything it stood for has been perverted. The banks are bleeding us dry. The corporations are selling us **** that can kill you. Tons of money goes to Britney Spears and Alex Rodriguez, etc. yet hardly anything goes toward education or law enforcement. The borders are an open door to illegal aliens. Jobs are farmed out to third world **** holes. You can't see that, can you? That's why I won't stand. There is no middle class anymore; we've been forced to bend over and take it up the *** time after time. I won't stand to honor Bank of America or any of the other corporate gougers who continually deny me a decent debt-free life.
If my first wife hadn't chickened out, I would have been in the Israeli army which is important to me.Now I suppose you'll have something to say about Jews-- STFU in advance

He had more to say than the ****ing Republicans. And you can **** off you stand for everything that's against what this country is supposed to be about. So stand up and honor America's corporate masters who have you by the *****. There has been no Life, Liberty or the Pursuit ofHappiness anymore since Nixon, Reagan and Bush.
I bet you enjoy taking a daily bite of the **** sandwich, you ****ing sheep.

Okay you Keyboard Commando - I was 110% for Ron Paul - so that pretty much eliminates your whole worthless post. You blame the Republicans for everything yet your pal Klinton signed NAFTA which was a GREAT THING for the working man! When I stand up and Respect a Fallen Brother - it has nothing to do with the Corporate Criminals who may be your masters. As far as Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness - I experience it every day, it must be a sad little world you live in!

Wow, this got ugly... Needless to say great post Bob. Needless to say when I was in a far away outpost in a far away desert, and we got a care package, it wasn't the Republicans or the Democrats, it was a Foreign Legion member a Veteran, a guy that once before was far from home, and knows what some stale cookies and a Maxim magazine can do for moral. Thanks VFW and to all the Vets.
