The whole world, in my book, falls into one of two categories; A**holes and non A**holes. I assume everyone is an A**hole until they prove me wrong. Whether you're a RUB or not on top of that I could really give a rat's a** about.
I thought that everyone would want to be rich? Then they can buy a bunch of bikes to ride and do what they love the most...And they'd be able to quit their job and ride all day.
So even if you were a 'biker' or whatever you called yourself and you became rich, would you stop riding for fear of being called a RUB? I don't think so either. Just ride man. I'd actually be REALLY happy if I were a RUB.
It's more than a monetary thing....it's a lifestyle. RUB's are....people trying to buy their way into the lifestyle. Bikers used to be guys that rode $4,000 bikes
Which they bought. So in essence, everyone buys their way into the lifestyle. Some just do it with more money than others. I'm with others here, do what feels right to you and ride, forget about the people that call you names like poser, rub, etc.. In essence, they are the ones who are trying to live some fad where bikers are just this one type of person and everyone else is a poser.
I wish I was a RUB but I'm more like a CLUB, Comfortable Living Urban Biker but then again, I live in the middle of the woods, almost redneck country so the U is gone, this isn't urban so all the analogies won't work for me except, CLCB, Comfortable Living Country Biker
Damn, I don't get a name.
Move over to the political forums ,voice an opinion and TRUST me they will have a name for you!
