some crackhead stole my car stereo.....jokes on them
Heh heh heh......it was broken!!! I have a new one still in the box i was going to install last weekend but i was too lazy. I must thank them for doing half the work for me by removing the old broken one.....Silly crackheads!!!!
When I was in high-school I had a Jeep CJ-7, and someone would steal my stereo about once a week. I finally decided to solder fishhooks to the upper backside of the new one that was going in. Sure as chit, about a week later I went out one morning to go to school, and I saw the stereo laying on the transmission hump, with blood on the fishhooks! Never happened again!
Love it. Reminds me of the garbage strike in NYC awhile back, People started putting their garbage in boxes, then wrapping it in Christmas paper and leaving it in an unlocked car.
'79, and I had just moved to the Twin Cities. My cousin Tommy lived on 4th, in North Mpls. He had a '69 Road Runner, with an 8 track !!!!
Someone broke the pass window, stole the 8 track, which, like your's, was broken.
We went to a salvage yard, pulled a window and a radio, and installed it in his car.
Sounds 'normal', so far.
Next weekend rolls 'round, he goes out, NOW the driver's window is broken .................... his ol' STEREO is laying on the driver's seat !!!!!!!
heheh had the same thing happen to my car last year. I came home the door was open the stereo was gone (cd player didn't work and the stereo cut out on it when you hit a bump). They left the tool ,, a ball joint splitter ?? i think is what you call it. It has to be worth more than the crappy stereo they took. Freakin crack heads around here are dumber than a stump.
It's interesting that you had just bought a new one. Wanna bet that the thief knew that and was counting on snagging the new one? We've noticed that trend around here, guy buys a new stereo and within a week or two it's stolen. I'd suspect someone at the place where you just bought the stereo.
