Wife don't get it!!!!!!!!
2nd bike this one is an 09RK. Anyway I want new pipes, tuner and handle bars . "you have a new bike why do you need this stuff how much" blah, blah blah. She just don't get it and apparently never will. I can't spend a dime on myself without an argument! Any one else have these battles?

Well I just spen a little on her bike and she stays quiet when I spend money on mine. Pays off in the long run.

my wife use to be that way until we split or checking accounts up now she spends her money the way she wants and i spend mine the way i want. we do split the bills. it has worked out very good doing it this way

That works for me too. Also, it dosen't hurt that the UPS truck shows up before she comes home from work. When she does see the new goody and asks "how much was that"? I always reduce the price by 50%.

This has worked for us for almost 30 years: each payday, a portion goes to my wife and another to me as "mad money" ... to be spent however each of us want to spend it individually, without having to justify it to the other one at all (or feel any guilt whatsoever on how we spend it). Household expenses, bigger purchases, etc. are all handled as joint obligations / decisions (as necessary) but "mad money" goes for anything ... chrome, weapons, ammo, etc etc.
