uhh.. don't know where you go, but I wouldn't let those valets touch my bike.
My buddy owns a huge motorhome and a trailer that holds up to 6 baggers, Im not a member of his MC but they do allow me to tag along from time to time. Its a party-wagon on the way up and a chance to sleep it off on the way back after a rough week. I could care less if Suzy-Q (a.k.a. skygoddess) thinks were uncool for trailering the bikes because on the few occasions Ive been fortunate enough to have been invited to party with the group there has been several requests for entry once camp has been pitched. Clean toilet/shower, well lit mirror for applying makeup, range for heating something up and even an electrical outlet off the generator to make the nearby tent people more comfy. By day 4 there are plenty of people not laughing at us trailer boys.
So if you see us in Laughlin later this month stop by and say howdy, well be the guys with the cold beer and bbqed steaks in front of the motorhome. Have fun, we will!

Valets for the bike? I don't think so. But bars, jacuzzis, hot tubs... Throw a few good looking hookers in, and I'm all for that kind of bike week, I tell you that.
Lots of things I didn't think I'd do when I was younger. Learning to adapt is one of the keys to getting older. I haven't trailered yet, but I'm not gonna say I wouldn't.
Going across Kansas and Eastern Colorado in July in an air-conditioned truck, with the bike in tow, is starting to sound pretty appealing.
I like sleeping in my trailer. A/C, semi soft bed, dry, only two legged critters[no scorpions or snakes]. No motel/hotel with bed bugs. A clean bathroom. My own good food at a reasonable cost. Hell, I am just spoiled because I want to be. Done it the other way for lots of years. Wet clothes, wet tent, hot tent, sweating my *** off in the tent, snakes and scorpions. Bad food and nasty bathrooms. Motels/hotels I wouldn't feel right leaving my ex-wives in. It is not that I can't ride the bike---it is the bike can't tow the trailer.
+1. if it means to give up all the comforts of life, be dirty, stink and uncomfortable to be a biker... i guess im not a biker... oh well what will i do???? i wont be able to sleep at night. do i care... not at all. if i want to hook up my toy hauler to my motor home and roll across the county to camp, what is the problem?
i agree with oldairboater 100%

If you're riding then great! If you're trailering then great! Just get there, have fun, and get back safe, PERIOD!

Depends of the roads and condition... this maybe a good reason also... do i care if they ride, nope... do i care if they haul... nope. just ride and leave them alone to do their thing.

not only a good reason to haul, but smart. im going to sturgis this year with the wife. we are going to take the long way from San Diego and take a week to get their, enjoy the sights and camp where we want and do it in comfort. nothing wrong with that. if that makes me a RUB, okay... i dont care what others think.

Sturgis was on the tail end of trip. Seen plenty of roll-up ******* and drunks. then rode back to Billings and flew home. guess we are at the mercy of the internet bikers!
Very smart. i never even thought of that... might be a good way to go.

Youre so lost, it isn't even funny... im a ***** because i invest and worked hard enough to be able to afford a 35 foot motor couch and a 15 foot topy hauler and i have all the comforts of home... Shower, stove, kind size bed, TV, freg, all my tools... oh well pussies are a good place to be, at least in my life experiences...

The problem begins if I were to apply that "expectation" to EVERYONE else that goes to the rally. Thus you're not "really plugged in" if you didn't ride there. That's a pretty narrow minded way of thinking. Honestly, and I believe the core of a "true" biker is, live and let live. I want to ride there? Cool... You want to trailer there then ride around? Also Cool... I like a lot of black on my bike, my girl likes a lot of chrome on her bike...good for me...good for her...doesn't make either of us more "true" or more "right" about what someone who rides "should" be. I don't care how you get there...you want to bitch about people who trailer their bikes to a local event...neither is wrong, right, or shouldn't be heard.
So they trailer to an event close to home...big deal. We have folks trailer their bikes to the weekly "bike night"...again, big deal. I ride for me and let everyone else choose what "riding" means to them.
