Default Ever fallen asleep on your bike?????

Okay, I'll throw myself under the bus right off the get-go and begin by calling myself a dumb-azz before you guys get the chance. So, my question is: Am I the only one here who actually nodded off at 70mph, or is willing to admit it? About 10 years ago, my buddy and I began a Springtime trip from the Washington coast. The weather was pleasant, but not warm. I began fighting jaw-clenching cold from the moment we ventured into the Cascade mountains until finally leaving their eastern slopes. Very warm air hit me as I approached the Columbia River desert area. My shivers ceased, my jaw relaxed, and circulation returned to my fingers and face-then....night-night! I nodded off long enough to hit the rumble strip. At the first rest stop, my buddy (who was behind me) asked what the hell I was doing-"Oh, just taking a little nap" I said. What an imbecile-I did everything wrong, from my substandard clothing to disregarding early cues to get off the road. Never again!

Hate to admit it but yes. It can happen when you are a daily rider as I once was. Think about how many of you have nodded off in a car. I was going from San Andreas to Sacramento and lucky for me my passenger noticed and jabbed me in the ribs before we hit the next set of corners. Talk about an oh **** moment!

A couple of times when much younger. I worked the graveyard shift and it with 110+ heat had me doze off while riding.

I can't say that I've actually nodded off, but I have found my concentration drifting on a couple of long rides on hot days. It's a scary feeling! I've learned to recognize the feeling and find a spot to get off the bike, relax for a few minutes, and regain my concentration.

I've never dozed off on the bike or in the car. There was a female school teacher in the apartment building where I used to live and she rode a little 250cc Honda Rebel. One day I saw the bike and the windshield had a chunk out of it and there were scratches and some bent parts on the bike. She said she fell asleep and ran off the rode into a big ditch. Fortunately she wasn't hurt.

i've done that . while riding along the north shore of Lake Superior i kinda dozed off for a second . no rumble strips up there , when you go off the road you're in gravel . managed to keep the rubber side down and got back on the road . took a half hour coffee break at the next greasy spoon and went for a bit of a walk to get the blood flowing . sometimes you need to do that after sitting on the bike for a few hours

Crossing Kansas on I-70 is about as about mind numbing as a catholic wedding . I used to count mile markers just to have something to break the flat straight monotony , I blinked to full awareness and it hit me I had lost track of 6 miles . Don't know if I was asleep or not but I sure wasn't home those 6 , started taking more frequent butt breaks didn't care if it was just under an overpass in the middle of nowhere .

Thanks for sharing, everyone-guess I'm not totally alone in this super bung-puckering incident!
