I have had a similar situation with a different outcome. Take it from me.. Replace it NOW! Better to find that in your garage than on the road. Trust me on that.
awww go ahead and take it personally... don't think I will, ya gotta matter for me to take it personal.
"You need to ride more twisties... lottsa chicken strips left on there!"
I am thinkin your comment is outta sarcasim or sarcastic humor but still...
" just had a guy killed here ridin on one just like that!".. while I feel bad for any biker that goes down, if you got any seat time at all, you would have to know that every time you throw a leg over the saddle, your takin' a risk. It dosen't have to be a bald tire, maybe a faulty valve stem, a cager talkin' on a cell phone (you got a cell phone?), an unseen pot hole or patch of gravel, maybe a retread coming loose from that 18 wheeler you are ridin' next to. As for me being a dumbass, been riding for 40+ years, not always been smooth but I have learned and I am still here.
The post and poll was in sarcasm, my next ride will be to get that tire replaced, and by the way "I do moo at cows when I ride past"...
