Just carry your credit card with you & go about 7 - 8 thousand more miles with about 10 lbs less tire pressure and report back in with an update also stay in the right lane around 10 miles per hour should do it!

Keep it on the lift start it and put in 2nd gear, then pour liquid electrical tape on it. That should re-cap the tire and coat your fender at the same time.

Didn't read the whole thing. IMO, you should keep the tire for as long as it works. I found out that once the tire is really worn, there's always he rim to ride on. It's just that on the rim, you'll have a traction problem.
If you think you need more grip on this tire, just put a few nails in it, you can even go off road with that setup.
