I cam remember Sonny riding through town once in a while back in the day. A hundred or so bikes in tow. It was impressive at the time. Of course I was young and impressed easily back then. He used to live 30 miles away from me and was always on the local news for something. There were a lot of clubs running the streets back then and the HAs were not the ones I feared. The Mongols ran the part of town I grew up in and raised a lot of hell over the years. One thing I can tell you is it cured me of ever wanting to be in a club.
Nowadays things are a lot different and a lot more subdued. I have known many 1% club members and it's a lot different then it was back then.
I don't get it. Start a thread bashing a guy or club yet your supporting it by buying the book.
There are men in here whom lived in those times, defended their country then came home to a society that turned their backs on them. So in turn they went sideways and said **** on society back.
What it has become isn't what it started out as. Now us laymen can sit here and pass judgement on men and actions,it's easy when you barely know one side, never mind both sides and the truth within.
Just read the book, enjoy your quiet time. You are hardly catching a glimpse,in a life, that most of us couldn't survive a moment in.
No fear or paranoia on my part. You're right that I don't want anything to do with them on a personal level, but since I'm sworn to uphold the law and the 1% choose to break those same laws it follows that unfortunately I have no choice but to deal with them from time to time.
If this forum had a bunch of folks standing up for and defending the mafia or terrorists I would do exactly the same thing and make my opinion known and make sure both sides of the argument are covered. It keeps things balanced.
Theres plenty of threads on here I don't agree with or I feel are stupid (do you ride with your dog comes to mind) but I chose not to comment since there are people who would be insulted . Everyone talks about the freedoms we love and the parallels with riding but are quick to put down what we dont understand . A lot of members seem to think that they are the voice of HD and everyone else is wrong. We customize are bikes to show our individualality but expect the rider to fit a mold based on a group interpretation. You dont have to agree but you can reserve comment.

By my count this is the 3rd time on this thread that you have not "reserved comment" on other people's comments.
I am having feelings of deja vu all over again!
just like anything else in life i educate myself by reading and watching then formulate my own opinion and apply what i have learned. some things can only be learned by time and experience.
